How to get there to Boracay

Boracay can be reached by air and boat. From Manila, there are three flights daily to Kalibo that is provided by Philippine Airlines (PAL). Upon reaching Kalibo airport, you will travel 1 and half hour to Caticlan by air-conditioned coasters, coaches and vans.

There are also private airlines such as Asian Spirit, Pacific Air and Aerolift going to Caticlan which is a jump-off point to Boracay. They offer daily flights by smaller aircrafts. All flights depart from the Manila Domestic Airport.

Boat trips are offered by WGA, Moreta Shipping Lines and Negros Navigation companies. All ships depart from North Harbor, Manila. However, it is advisable to inquire for accurate departure schedule before starting the trip.

Boracay White sand beach resortMount Luho: the highest mountain on the island. An ascent of a 100m from the sea level is worth some cold water and soft drinks. A small hillock nestled among the trees on the tip of this mountain can be a good resting place after a cumbersome climb.

The Bat Caves: Located on the north east coast of Yapak gives a view of the reversely hanging mammals who come out screeching for food at the fall of dusk. Located in the jungles around a visitor to this cave must have the tenacity of bearing the foul smell that engulfs the cave.

The White Beach: The greatest attraction offered by Boracay to its tourists. The white silvery sand and the clean blue sea present a perfect stretch for the tourists to spend the day. Horse riding along the beach, beach volleyball or even a bare footed walk on the sand or even a sun bath on the beaches can be entertaining. The quiet sea gives one the opportunity to trip across the sea.

Kar-Tir Shell Museum: Located at the village of Ilig-Illigan, Kar-Tir features an interesting collection of sea shells, wood carvings, pottery, hand-woven articles and traditional costumes from all over the Philippines. There is a small entrance fee.

Star Gazing In Boracay: There's plenty of room to sit back and look to the heavens for inspiration. While you're mooning over a sea of stars, watch for a falling star, and make a wish. The visual delights never end specially at sun set as the stars creep into the evening sky and the sun spreads its red and yellow hues across the heavens.

Boracay Butterfly Garden: Located near the famous Bolabog Beach in Boracay. If lucky the visitors can expect their visit to the garden to be greeted over with 200 to 300 spirited colors traipsing along the invisible path in the air. With over 150 varieties of plants, Boracay Butterfly Garden attracts the most enchanting of tropical butterflies in the region.
